{"id":662,"date":"2017-04-02T02:12:45","date_gmt":"2017-04-02T02:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rkifmcregion8.com\/?page_id=662"},"modified":"2025-05-27T13:43:25","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T03:43:25","slug":"tour-patches","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/rkifmcregion8.com\/?page_id=662","title":{"rendered":"Tour Patches"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Some patches can be purchased, but some <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">MUST<\/span> be earned&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>There are a few different tour patches that can be achieved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grand Tour Master<\/li>\n<li>Loyal to our Duty (Only once Grand Tout Master is achieved)<\/li>\n<li>Australian Bushfire Memorial Tour Patch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Grand Tour Master<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-663 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/rkifmcregion8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Grand-TOur-Master-228x300.png\" alt=\"grand-tour-master\" width=\"228\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What is Grand Tour?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>When the club was young, the easiest way to tell others about it was by word of mouth. This meant that the members had to get out and visit other fire fighters, and one of the best ways to do that was to visit Fire Stations. Someone came up with the idea of rewarding members who made a certain number of visits.<br \/>\nPatches are awarded for visiting Fire Stations beginning with the letters\u00a0in<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>GRAND TOUR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>RED KNIGHT<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>FIRE HOUSE<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li><strong>12 STATIONS<\/strong>\u00a0beginning with any letter of the alphabet.<br \/>\n<em>(After completing the above 4 tours a pin will also be awarded.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>ALPHABET\u00a0<\/strong>which includes all the letters in the alphabet.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AUSTRALIA &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>This patch is only able to be completed while in Australia.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The above can be completed in any order, but each station must be visited within a 12 month period.\u00a0<em>(Except for the alphabet tour which has an unlimited time to be collected)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Each station visit may only be claimed once. You may use the same station in multiple tours IF you have visited that station on more than one occasion.<\/p>\n<p>You must have a picture of you and your motorcycle taken at each Station with the station name sign visible. \u00a0The photographer may be included.<\/p>\n<p>You may collect stations as a part of a group ride or on your own.<\/p>\n<h2>How to earn the LOYAL TO OUR DUTY (LTOD) Rocker<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must be a Grand Tour Master to receive the LTOD Rocker.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must be in good standing on the International Roster. Not awarded to a Non-Red Knight Member.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have 6 months to complete the Tour. The 6 month time starts after you take the first photo.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must have a picture of you and your motorcycle taken at each station, with the Station name visible and readable (your motorcycle, not just parts of it showing in the picture). Pictures can only be used for one tour.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No Stations can be repeated for this tour, all letters must be of different stations.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Station Names must begin with the following Letters<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>L,O,Y,A,L, T,O, O,U,R, D,U,T,Y<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information and how to apply go to <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">https:\/\/www.redknightsmc.com\/loyal-to-our-duty-grand-tour-online-application\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Instructions to claim patches<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Once you have completed a tour and wish to claim a patch, please fill out the online form available at http:\/\/www.redknightsmc.com\/grandtour.htm<br \/>\nRecords will then be submitted to the International Grand Tour Chairperson for your claim to be processed.<\/p>\n<p>Further info available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redknightsmc.com\/grandtour.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.redknightsmc.com\/grandtour.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Australian &#8220;Bush Fire Memorial Tour&#8221; Patch<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3457 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/rkifmcregion8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bushfire-175x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"175\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rkifmcregion8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bushfire-175x300.jpg 175w, https:\/\/rkifmcregion8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bushfire.jpg 292w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px\" \/><\/h1>\n<p>The Australian &#8220;Bush Fire Memorial Tour&#8221; is an additional, but uniquely Australian tour, similar to the International &#8220;Grand Tour&#8221; but instead of visiting fire stations, it involves visiting various fire related memorials from around Australia.
